The YOUth Energy Forum
November 13, 2020
Under the theme, ‘YOUth at the Centre of CARICOM’s Energy Future’, young people from across CARICOM member states joined energy experts, thought leaders and policymakers at the CEM2020 Virtual Youth Energy Forum. The event was held in collaboration between the CARICOM Secretariat, the UK Government, CCREEE and TAPSEC.
The three-part forum featured presentations from regional and international development organisations, regional youth-led organisations, and a presentation by Ambassador Fiona Clouder, Conference of Parties (COP26) Ambassador to the region and British Chevening Scholar, Ms. Jamalia Wyllie. The forum also featured performances from local artistes and concluded with a youth consultation addressing the gaps in, challenges of and solutions to youth involvement in the sustainable energy sector.
