Launch of the Project Preparation Facility and Credit Risk Abatement Facility

CCREEE and the Caribbean Development Fund (CDF), jointly launched the Project Preparation Facility (PPF) and the Credit Risk Abatement Facility (CRAF). The PPF will provide technical assistance, advisory support, and financial matchmaking for regional energy project developers, investors, and financiers. The CRAF, will support local lenders investing in sustainable energy projects and incentivise lending to small and medium-sized enterprises seeking sustainable energy solutions.

The launch of these flagship projects featured a keynote address from Honourable Mia Amore Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados who called on fellow CARICOM States to actively pursue the policy measures that would transform CARICOM’s energy landscape.
