The Official Launch of the CARICOM Energy Policy and Regulations Help Desk

The CARICOM Secretariat, in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Programme for Sustainable Energy in the Caribbean (TAPSEC), invites you to the launch of the CARICOM Energy Policy and Regulations Help Desk on July 29, 2020 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm EST.

The CARICOM Policy and Regulations Help Desk aims to provide CARICOM Member States with the required technical support to develop an enabling environment to accelerate the Sustainable Energy transition.

To realise this mandate, the CARICOM Energy Policy and Regulations Help Desk will facilitate the provision of technical assistance services for:

1. The modernisation of energy policies and legislation as well as the implementation of actions/programmes consistent with national policy objectives and;
2. The review or modernisation of regulatory frameworks, regulatory support and electric utility services.

Attendees will gain further insight on the Help Desk, including its objectives, the type of technical assistance available, eligibility of organisations for support as well as the application and approval processes under the Help Desk.

Representatives of Government, Electric Utilities, Regulatory Agencies, Regional Universities and Institutions, National Agencies/Institutions and Civil Society Associations within CARICOM Member Countries currently active in the energy sector are particularly encouraged to attend.
