Julia Kraus works with GIZ as the Financial Manager for the TAPSEC (Technical Assistance Programme for Sustainable Energy in the Caribbean). Her responsibility includes budgeting, and finance monitoring and reporting. Ms Kraus also provides advice to TAPSEC team members and partners on administrative processes, rules, and regulations as well as their enforcement. Ms Kraus has ten years of experience in project administration and budget monitoring. She worked extensively with GIZ headquarters in the areas of co-financing and internal auditing. During her stint at GIZ, Ms Kraus facilitated training in “Fundamentals of Financial Management” in GIZ offices across the world including Thailand, Nepal, Dominican Republic.
Ms Kraus holds a Master of Arts Degree in Global Diplomacy with a focus on Security Studies from SOAS, University of London, United Kingdom as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the Cooperative State University Baden-Württemberg, Mannheim, Germany.
